Kilkenny Men’s Sheds
Kilkenny Men’s Sheds is a thriving community-based project that brings men together, build solidarity, share experiences and participate in joint initiatives.
With the aim of promoting social inclusion and community development, KLP’s social inclusion program has been working with local men’s sheds to provide support, training, and rent-free spaces. Through these efforts, Kilkenny now has ten Men’s Sheds with plans for more, each offering a range of activities and training opportunities related to marketing, social media, computers, health, and well-being.
The sheds remain committed to achieving their respective and collective initiatives with the support of SICAP and the wider community. The impact of Kilkenny Men’s Sheds on building confidence and sustainability within the community is clearly visible.
