2 Nice 2 Slice is the new bespoke cake company owned by Pauline O’Shea in Tullahought, Kilkenny. These elegant and personalised cakes are sure to bring a special touch to any celebration. The bakery has recently received support from Kilkenny LEADER Partnership (KLP) to transform this business from a small-scale domestic operation to a full service, thriving cake artistry enterprise.
In 2012, Pauline started her own designer cake business in a small premises. Due to increasing demands for her cakes, she realised that she was quickly outgrowing her present bakery and submitted an application to KLP for support to expand. 2 Nice 2 Slice has enjoyed great success. Pauline’s 3-D cakes in particular have proved very popular. You name it, from handbags, chainsaws, your favourite jersey, Disney Wonderlands or a beautifully crafted wedding cake; these creations are certain to bring the “wow factor” every time.
Pauline commented, “The demand for our individualised handcrafted cake creations has been overwhelming since day one and thanks to KLP’s help, we were able to scale production in order to meet our customers’ needs by the construction of a new, state of the art, HSE registered bakery and cake studio. As a result, we have created stable employment and are excitedly looking forward to what the future holds for 2 Nice 2 Slice”.
